Girls Varsity Swimming vs. Multiple Opponents

Game Date
Jan 9, 2021

Hello, swim fans!

What a HUGE day we had in the pool on Saturday!  Both the Lady Cubs and Cubs brought home big wins in the annual January Invite!  We had a wonderful day to celebrate our senior swimmers!  Thank you to Luke, Brett, Aitana, Katie, and Trenton for your contributions to our team.  We will miss you and wish you the very best of luck and you enter the next chapter of your journey!  Thanks for sharing some awesome young adults with us, it has truly been a pleasure!

With a combined team score Madison led the way with 609.5 points; second place Oldenburg Academy - 413.5 points; third place South Ripley - 326 points; and fourth place Switzerland County - 210 points.

Girls scores:
Madison - 267
OA - 240
South Ripley -  210
Switzerland County - 138

Boys scores:
Madison 342.5
OA - 173.5
South Ripley - 116
Switzerland County - 72

We continue to see hard work pay off for the kids!  This is the stretch of the season where you see who has the grit and determination to push through the aches, pains, mental blocks, and frustrations to trust the process to work as we have planned.  It is so encouraging to see them enjoying their time together, pushing one another, and encouraging each other to be the very best they can be for themselves and our team.  Callie and Emily have been workhorses for the ladies...doing the heavy lifting (often alone) in the IM and Fly events and killing it!

SHOUT OUT to Liam Roney for breaking the school record in the 200 Freestyle!  This record had been on the books since 1986!
